Crisis of Conscience blogpost
by Lunatic Faith inme and pyramid finally finished crisis of conscience.
it took us awhile as we were reading it aloud together so we could stop and discuss interesting features along the way--kind of like what the wts recommends we do with the bible (ironic, we never did it with the bible).
anyway, i wrote a blog on the book and have been having an interesting discussion with an old jw friend of mine.

Facebook, JW's, and paranoia
by Lunatic Faith inso i am still a member of the fb jw page since they put me in there themselves.
i haven't been on there for a week because i find the average post innane or downright paranoid.
today i got on there and got an admins explanation for why so many were randomly thrust into this closed group.

Facebook-Jehovah's Witnesses
by Lunatic Faith inso, i have been mysteriously added to a facebook page for jw's.
i didn't join and it is supposedly a closed group.
i went to their page and found a dozen others who were wondering how they became a part of a group they never joined.

Ireland and Crisis of Conscience
by Lunatic Faith ini just finished reading the part of coc in which ray tells the story of those two brothers from ireland who came to the us to meet with the gb, only to be ignored then eventually pushed into disassociating themselves.
ray mentions that ireland in general was having a hard time dealing with the heavy handedness of the gb, especially in regards to the new policy on disassociated ones.
he made a comment i found interesting, "the branch office was well aware of the attitude of the irish witnesses, their disinclination to be dominated and dictated to" (p. 332).. i found that comment very interesting and it automatically brought up everything i knew about irish history: their rebellion against england, the protestant/catholic issue, the ira, etc.

i really enjoyed it.
it was almost boring because the depiction of jw life was so good i felt like i was watching a film of my life.

Proclaimers book and Memorial question
by Lunatic Faith ini got a text this morning from my 17 year old nephew.
he told his parents last night that he didn't want to go to any more meetings and he was not attending the memorial because he doesn't believe the way jdubs believe.
i'm not sure how his parents have responded.
